First three episodes of True Blood

So let me just say that I am so confused by what is happening in season four. Three episodes in and they have already managed to screw up the basic plot line of the next however many seasons they will film. This season has moved so far away from the books. Charlaine Harris has already said that she accepts the fact that the show is moving very far away from her books. Even though she accepts it I still am not happy with these changes. This is not a simple matter like adding a new character or tweaking the plot a little so that it moves quicker. The show has now moves so far past the plot that I fail to see how they can actually film another season. Right, so I am going to list my complaints about the changes and then move on to actually reviewing this season. Okay lets start with Portia and Bill. What is going on there? So in episode three Portia asked Bill to have a sexual relationship with her. Right sure whatever but not. You see Bill is actually Portia's great great something Grandfather. You see why I have a problem with them having sex? Another thing is Tara, she is just so unnecessary. I see why the writers wanted to make her more interesting than she is in the books but still why did they make her magically turn into a lesbian? That does not just happen overnight. With all of the sexual relationships she has been in on this show she has never even shown the slightest hint that she is unhappy being with a man. Now after she has moved to New Orleans it is like wow lesbian now. And my last complaint, what is going on will Bill being king? Now this really annoys me. Sophie-Anne has some very important plot lines in the next few books and I fail to see how it is even remotely possible to adapt them to happening with Bill. The only good thing I can think of is maybe when Sophie-Anne is killed in the books Bill will be killed in the show.

Right so on to the review. If I remove the books from my mind the show is actually very interesting. Now I do admit that the people who don't read the books are going to be very confused as to what is happening. They don't explain things very well. I actually love the plot twist of Eric buying Sookie's house. But seeing as I am a huge Eric/Sookie shipper that is probably not surprising to anyone. The fourth book is my favorite because of all the Eric/Sookie action. Now as much as they changed everything I can only hope that they at least keep the Eric/Sookie plot line alive.

Okay I have to say this next sentence please forgive me for all of the Harry Potter references. In the second episode of this season Aunt Petunia somehow got magical powers and used them to obliviate Eric. Okay that sentence was totally awesome to write. In the third episode we get to see the obliviated Eric. He is so adorable I just wanted to hug him and take him home with me.

Now the whole thing going down in Hotshot is really weird and I wish that they did not add that. It is totally pointless and just makes me hope that they follow the book with Crystal dying.

I miss Bubba. I really wish that they had decided to add him as a character on the show. But maybe that is just because he is my second favorite vampire in the books. He is only behind Eric for obvious reasons. How cool would it be to have Bubba (Elvis) on the show?

College Class Schedule

So I just got my class schedule for the fall. I will hopefully be attending Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont. I have to say I have like the best schedule EVER.

Monday - 3:15-5:15 Comparative Religion

Tuesday/Thursday -                                                                  

                 - 9:35-10:55 US History Since 1945

    - 12:45-2:05 Basic Painting

              - 3:25-4:45 English Composition I

             Wednesday/Friday - 10:20-12:25 Quest for Success: Lights, Camera,      Action: Learning to Work in a Digital TV World

Okay this is just awesome. On Mondays my first and only class is at 3! The only thing I am disappoint with is that with the classes I chose I could not take Sociology :( but that's cool cause I'm taking Comparative Religion instead and get to sleep in a lot on Mondays.

I am really excited about this. I just hope that I somehow manage to get my diploma so I can go. Cross your fingers for me <3

GLEE FINALE!!!

So Glee was on last night. It was not as good as I was expecting. I thought it was really weird how they did not write their songs before they actually went to New York. That is probably why they only got 12th place. How much could they have practised if they only wrote the songs the night before? The scenes between Kurt and Rachel were amazing. I felt incredibly jealous as they sang For Good on the Wicked stage. Although that was like not realistic at all. It was really sweet. I'm glad that they iincluded those scenes. I was really shocked by the Finchel kiss on stage. I feel like that is very out of character for Rachel to do that when she knows  that it cost them nationals. I am also kind of upset because that means the end of St. Berry. Why did they even bother bringing Jessie back if they are not going to explore their relationship? I do feel that the St. Berry relationship was happening too soon. Maybe in a few years when they are in New York together they could try again. Time is the only thing they need to rekindle their romance. Okay now on to the best thing in this episode. I love you. That was perfect. I am so happy that this happened. But was it too soon? Yes, I do think that they should have waited longer to show this but I still loved it.

Camp NaNoWriMo

So this year I have decided that during the month of June I  will attempt to do Camp NaNoWriMo. Why ever would I do such a crazy thing in a month that is not November? Because I can. Plus because unfortunately although I finished it my Script Frenzy script totally sucks. So during June I will attempt to write a 50,000 word novel adaptation to my sucky script. Am I totally crazy? You bet I am but I can't just let my beloved plot stay embodied in such a horrible play. If I made it into a novel I feel that I would be able to embrace the plot line more fully. Plus once I'm done I can post it to fanfiction sites which you can't really with a script. I have decided that as much as I enjoyed Script Frenzy it just was not for me. I will continue to do it annually if I have the time but I don't really feel as passionate with script writing. So prepare yourselves as I get ready to start this journey with a teeny tiny computer with an even smaller keyboard. Man I wish that my computer would  get fixed...this sucks. Anywho I love you all <3
